Loreto (Peru) July 5, 2024. – On Thursday, July 4, in the native community of Nuevo Andoas, located in Loreto (a region in the Peruvian Amazon), the Citizen Participation Workshop was held, organized by Perupetro, where Altamesa Energy Peru was introduced as the new operating partner of Petroperu S.A. in the exploitation of Lot 192, the largest oil reserve in Peru.
The event was attended by the regional governor of Loreto, mayors of the districts of Andoas, Trompeteros, and Tigre, presidents of indigenous organizations, and leaders of the 25 native communities within the influence area of Lot 192.
During the presentation, representatives of Altamesa Energy Peru detailed the work plan designed to reactivate production in Lot 192. Additionally, the company’s community relations and environmental management policy was presented, aiming to maintain a sustainable and respectful operation with the local environment and communities.
The company emphasized its commitment to actively contribute to the sustainable development of the communities in Lot 192. In this regard, Altamesa Energy Peru stressed that the well-being of the region will be achieved through continuous production, resulting from mutual investment and commitment from all parties involved, including the company, the State, and the community.
